I’m tired of getting too many unwanted hits from a range of ip address in miami, generating 404. Please let me know how to block a range of ip addresses

We do not block IP addresses at WordPress.com, we also don’t provide error reports at WordPress.com, so I’m unsure where you’re acquiring that information.
If you have a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, you can ask your hosting provider about IP blocking.
