How to build a community of fellow bloggers?

    Hi,
    Here is a question I have and thought others may have insight into it so I thought I would share it here.

    One of my favourite parts of building my blog (other than writing and sharing with others) has been the people I met and the community I am starting to build.
    However, I am not sure how to find blogs with content similar to mine as I am looking to build my network. I was wondering if WordPress had a directory of blogs that I could look through? I have found other bloggers through reading new articles on Freshly pressed or those who have tags similar to me but I am not aware of those who are publishing similar content to me.

    I was inspired by the community of users I met at WordCamp and was wondering how I can find that community online. I’m curious as to how to best find a loyal follower-base/network?

    I’m just really excited about sharing my blog and building a community of fellow bloggers and am unsure how to start.
    Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated? Thanks :)

    The Global Tag Listings at WordPress.com aggregate all published posts attached to any particular tag or category, and display our most popular topics. If something you are interested in is not included there, you can still access its global tag listing. > global tag pages

    I don’t think there is a directory but remember, it takes time to build a community. When people show interest in your work, maybe let them know you acknowledged that by thanking them for replying etc..

    Visit other blog sites similar to what you’re interested in posting. But remember, it takes time. I’m sure timethief or someone will give you a more in depth way of your question, but from what I’ve gathered, it’s what Iv’e mentioned.

    There is no such directory here at WordPress.com.

    You can use Ggole search and Google blog search to locate similar blogs as well. Replace “keyword” with any keyword of keyword phrase and note there is no space following the colon.
    keyword:site.wordpress.com
