How to build a site that has a hierarchy
-
Look for example on the
https://wordpress.org/themes/sanasar/
themeIt has the ability to present thumbnails of posts, it is good for flat website, but mine has hierarchy , I need a page with thumbnails, that when you click on one of the thumbnails you get to another page which also has thumbnails (and from there you can get to the actual posts)
for example lets say i have a traveling website, my primary page would be thumbnails of :
America
Europe
Asia
Middle westAnd when you click on America it will present a page with thumbnails of my posts that I’ve put under america.
In other words , how to do hierarchy in wordpress?

Are you referring to your WordPress.com website at plantotravel.wordpress.com? If so, the themes you can use on your site can be found here https://theme.wordpress.com/
Once you decide on a theme, and have created some posts and given them categories, you can use category pages in a Custom Menu. Here’s a bit more on that: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/i-have-written-a-post-how-do-i-get-it-onto-a-page?replies=7#post-2365185

One way to do this is to assign your posts to categories, like Europe, Asia, etc, as justjennifer mentioned above. Then you can set your site to display a static homepage. Since you want an image to go with each category, you can set that up on your homepage, adding links to your categories, next to an image to represent each one.
Just let us know if you need more help.
