How to build a WP site for others, using my own profile, then handing it over?

    Hi,
I have several WP sites of my own, hosted by WP. Very nice :-)
Now I want to build a new site for another person. I would like to build it using my own profile/account and then – when I’m finished – turn it over to the other person. How do I do that?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi Jan,

I’m glad to hear that you like WordPress.com! What you’re talking about is very easy (as long as you don’t attach a domain name to the blog . . . then it gets a bit more difficult).

All you need to do is build it as normal and then follow the instructions right here:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-wordpress-com-user-or-account

I would recommend not purchasing anything for this account. If you need upgrades, add the owner as an administrator and have them purchase it. That way when you’re done with building it (next year) you won’t get charged.

Alternatively, you can have them create the blog and add YOU as an administrator. Once you are done building everything, walk them through removing you.
