I have 2 posts that I am thinking about canceling. They are scheduled for Sept. 13 and Sept. 14. How can I cancel them if I decide to go that route?

    Hi there,

I’m not sure what device you’re on, so I’m including instructions for both the Desktop and Mobile (iOS) versions of WordPress.

    On Desktop:

Step 01. Access your WordPress Admin Dashboard

Step 02. On the sidebar, click on the “Posts” link, which will lead you to all of your posts.

Step 03. On that page, there should be a navigation menu that shows “Published”, “Drafts”, “Scheduled”, and “Trashed” posts. Click on the “Scheduled” link.

Step 04. From there, navigate to the scheduled post that you want to cancel, either by clicking on the Post’s name, or by clicking on the 3 dots and choosing the “edit” option.

Step 05. On the top-right corner of that “Edit Post” page, there should be a text-link that says “Switch to draft”. Click that link.

Step 06. From there, a pop-up box asking, “Are you sure you want to unschedule this post?” should appear. Click the “OK” button.

Step 07. The post should now be unscheduled and in your drafts.

    On Mobile:

Step 01. Access your WordPress Admin Dashboard

Step 02. There should be a toggle button at the top of the page that lets you choose either Home or Menu. Click the Menu option.

Step 03. From there, click on the “Posts” button, which will lead you to all your posts.

Step 04. On that page, there should be a navigation menu that shows “Published”, “Drafts”, “Scheduled”, and “Trashed” posts. Click on the “Scheduled” link.

Step 05. From there, navigate to the scheduled post that you want to cancel. Under the post’s name, there should be a link that says “…more”. Click on that link.

Step 06. There, some options should pop-up. Choose the “Move to Draft” option.

Step 07. The post should now be unscheduled and in your drafts.
