How to cancel and delete wordpress account

    Hi, I’ve been asked to shut down a wordpress site/account connected to my job’s website which is hosted by GoDaddy. While the website can be accessed publicly, WordPress does not recognize the site administrator’s account for login, nor does the site show up as existing when my WordPress account is given administrative capabilities. GoDaddy does not have record of the domain being attached to the WordPress site, even though the site is still linked to the domain and is visible on the internet. The only way to access the account is through typing the web address forward slash admin. Login through WordPress does not recognize the account username.

    Hi there,

    Since http://houseofdesignhhi.com/ is not hosted here at WordPress.com, but with Go Daddy, I would recommend contacting Go Daddy again, as they should be able to assist you in regaining access to the back end of your site:

    At the very least, WhoIs Data shows that the domain is hosted with Go Daddy, and the nameservers are also pointed to Go Daddy – therefore, the site is most likely hosted with Go Daddy. As a result, they would be the ones who would have access to your account and site and would be best positioned to assist you with taking down the site.

    To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities, but the essential difference is that we don’t have access to all WordPress sites, only ones hosted on our WordPress.com servers. For more information, please see the following:
