how-to: Categories
-
Hi!
I am slowly getting better at working on my new website but I still struggle with a few things. The main thing I am trying to do right now is have my different categories show on my front page, with the possibility to have people click on the picture/categorie/service names or whatever it is called to be directed to my blog posts under each category. I want to be able to have my main categories set up and post under each category, without having all my blog posts at the same place. I am unsure of the vocab so this question may be confusing but basically, my website is about living a sustainable lifestyle under 5 categories; home, beauty, fashion, food, and travel. I want to have those 5 on my front page (either the way it currently is or differently, I do not care), and I want to be able to write blog posts under each categories and have people click on each categories to see the blog posts related.
Sorry for the repetition in my question but I still can’t express myself the way I want using WordPress language! I would really appreciate some help on the matter, thank you in advance!

Hi there,
Is this for http://www.sustainableserendipity.com/ ? That site is not a WordPress.com site, so we’re not able to help you in this forum.
For help in using the self-hosted WordPress.org software, please see:
https://wordpress.org/support/
You can find the complete documentation for that software here:
That said, it sounds like you want to have category pages. On WordPress.com, you create those by editing the site menu, and adding categories directly to the menu, the same way you’d add pages.
