How to categorize Authors?

  Hello WordPress users

  I am currently managing a blog with numerous authors from several different countries.

  I would like them to appear as a drop down list, like the one used for categories.

  At the same time, I was wondering is it possible to Categorize the authors in categorise such as

  Country 1:
  Author 1
  Author 2
  Author 3
  —————————
  Country 2:
  Author 1
  Author 2

  Etc…

  Help would be much appreciated.

  Hi. For your drop-down category list idea to work, you would have to create a category for each country, and sub-categories for each author, and each author would have to think of adding their name as a category when they post something. More info about categories (if you haven’t already read):

  If that’s too complicated, you could achieve a similar effect with a custom menu; a parent page for each country, and under each of them, the page pointing to the posts by that author (for example /author/tobiasharpsoe/). More info about custom menus:
