How to categorize posts

    Hi everyone, I am relatively new to wordpress.
    The site which I am looking for support is http://www.strangecompanyshow.com

    What I am trying to do is have certain posts go to one part of the page. For now, all my posts show up on Home, but I would like it so that some will go to News, some will go to Podcasts, some will go to Events, etc.

    I can set the category within the post, but it does not send it to that page. I have tried searching for this issue but maybe it is too obvious or I am wording it wrong? Thank you for any support.

    You are on the right track in wanting to categorize posts and display them on different pages but you are asking in the wrong forum. The version of WordPress that you are using is supported over at WordPress.org.

    These forums supports sites that are hosted here at WordPress.com using a different version of WordPress.
