How to centre a text box across front page

    What code do I need to add to get my text box to center across the front page. The code I have used is:

    Celebrating 75 Years on the River

    Sunday, 18 October 2015 – from 2pm to 5pm

    <p style=”text-align:center;”>Past members and friends are invited to join us to celebrate this special occasion. To assist with catering please email us if you will be attending to:</p>
    <p style=”text-align:center;”>(email visible only to moderators and staff)</p>

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    I am so happy! I have worked out that changing the margin:10px to margin:auto works just fine and my text box is now centered across the page.
