How to change back to admin role
-
It seems that I have accidentally changed my profile to a subcriber role. I do not get the toolbar and can not post or edit my page. How can I change my user back to an administrator role? I think this happened when creating a gravatar user.

Hi there!
Can you let us know what the URL is of the site where you’re having this problem? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.
Thank you!

Ah, okay. That site is not hosted with our service:
https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/I’m guessing it’s not that you’re a subscriber so much as you’re not logged into the admin account. Are you using basiclashes.no/wp-admin to log in?
If that isn’t working, your host may be able to help you make backups and use one of these recovery options:
https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/As long as you can log into your hosting account, you should be able to regain access.
Then, if you need more help, head to to the forums for self-hosted sites at https://wordpress.org/support , since these forums are for the free sites hosted here at WordPress.com. Or you’d be welcome to transfer the site to our services so we can provide direct support.

Hi!
Yes, I am using basiclashes.no/wp-admin to log in. I will ask my host for help. Thank you for your support! -
OK. Your site wouldn’t have let you change the role of the account that owns the site, so if you have that account info and can log into that, you can change this account’s role, too. Good luck!
