how to change blockquote css

    I just purchased Custom Design. I know a tab bit about CSS, but I need some help here. I have the Notebook theme on my blog. I don’t want to change a lot, but the one thing I really hate is the blockquote feature of this theme. It can be seen here, if anyone is interested. How Important Is HappinessThe post has been published, so people can see it, but it is not complete yet.

    On this post, I right clicked on one of the blockquotes, and then selected “Inspect Element.” This came up at the bottom of the screen:

    ::before
    <p>…</p>
    ::after
    <//blockquote>

    But I still don’t understand how to get the kind of blockquote that I want. I want a CSS table type blockquote, just a little shorter in width than the regular text, with a light grey background. As I said, I don’t know how to get that type of blockquote into the CSS of my theme. Any help would be much appreciated..

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Sorry, I thought I was in the CSS Customization forum. Can someone please transfer me over there. Thanks.

    Moving threads can only be done by Staff and will take time to happen. Then you will have to wait again for an answer. I think it’s best if you use this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform so you can copy and paste your text into a thread that will appear in the CSS Forum where you will get the help you need.
