How to change category name in my site

  Hey,
  I have had some trouble in figuring out how to change the name of the category on my site. I have changed the category name in the post section however, when I go onto my site the title or heading of the page comes up with “category: people” or “category: Europe.”
  How would I change and get rid of the word category on my site?
