How to change character size??
-
When I paste my text, it appears in characters of normal size, but when I press “publish” the text becomes microscopic and practically illeggible. Why?? Moreover, there has never been on WordPress a button to change character size. The forums always say insert a CSS code God knows where. Does nobody know that not everybody is a CSS expert, and does nobody understand that a pushbutton is easier that inserting codes?

Hello there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
Are you able to confirm the URL of the website that you need assistance with please?

Hi there,
Which site is this for? I see you have a few on your account
When I paste my text, it appears in characters of normal size, but when I press “publish” the text becomes microscopic and practically illeggible. Why??
Can I see this on your homepage? Or is it a specific place I need to look at?
I’d like to see the smaller text as it is now so we can take a closer look at it directly. Thanks for pointing it out!

My page was here (in fact aleone89 asked me “Are you able to confirm the URL of the website that you need assistance with please?” I replied “Yes.”, not knowing what else to reply.) but then it disappeared. It is https://schmurrblog.wordpress.com/2021/01/30/tapino/ But the page doesn’t matter because my question is: How can I change the char size???
-
-
If I had all those nice things on the right I would never have put the question! In fact I don’t have any of those. ☹️☹️
Bye, Martin -

As I said, I have NOTHING on the right except Home About Contact and Text widget. Maybe I’m not logged in, but that page doesn’t say it nor allows me to. https://schmurrblog.wordpress.com/2021/01/30/tapino/

Home About Contact is when you look at your site as visitors would see it. You need to go to edit that particular post then follow the instructions above.

Now I’ve landed here: https://wordpress.com/home/schmurrblog.wordpress.com
Where is EDIT?? -
You can edit pages following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/pages/edit-pages-screen/
-
Or click on “Posts” if it is a post you need to reach. Don’t forget to click on “Update” for any changes you make to go live.

Thanks to WP-admin etc. I could click on “Edit” for my page. But the cog is useless, and the 3 dots reveal only a part of a menu which goes till the word “Tools” (which can’t be clicked on) and it’s impossible to go further down. So how to change font size remains a mystery, forever, I think. https://schmurrblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=65&action=edit

First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/
If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
If it is, please do these two things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.
2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.
-
I did it, and now under “Tools” “Block Manager” is faintly visible, which offers hundreds of functions, but I can’t find Edit Font Size.
-
-
I thank you all for your answer attempts. As to the cog, it reveals “Status and visibility” etc. down to “Excerpt” and “Discussion”. None of all those allow to change font size. My question, however, which nobody seems to understand, let alone to answer, is: How can I change font size??
-
Hello there,
It sounds like there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
When you’ve clicked on the text you wish to change the font size of, with the cog open, you should see a block tab – if you were to click that, you should see the option to change the font size, when the text is selected.
I hope this helps.
