With the theme you’ve chosen, Lyretail, you can upload an image header to replace the color. However to actually change the color itself might only be possible to do so with the Custom Design feature, which is part of either the Premium or Business upgrade.

It would be a shame to take the time needed to set up a new site and then have WPcom suspend it for a ToS violation.
