How to change dns numbers but keep blog at wordpress

    How do I change the dns numbers. I have created a new site on my old host and want to move my domain name back to my old host but want to keep my blog at wordpress. My new dns numbers are:
    ns189.hostgator.com
    ns190.hostgator.com

    so I added in wordpress this:
    MX 1 ns189.hostgator.com
    MX 2 ns190.hostgator.com

    Is this correct? How long will this take? Will my blog disappear?

    Just go and change the DNS numbers in the domain management section. Your old blog URL should then become active again.

    Actually, you have done things right. Your blog will not disappear, it will just revert to the old URL again.

    DNS changes can take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours to propagate through the internet nameserver system, but typically it is 24 hours or less. It could be a little unstable for up to 36 or 48 just depending on nameserver loads.
