How to Change Excerpt Post to Full Post on Sight Theme?
-
For my “sight” theme, it only shows my posts as excerpts, instead of full posts which I would like. Is there an easy way to remedy this? I am so new at code, etc. So please pretend you’re talking to a child :)

On any theme with an active excerpt box below the editor box you can use this workaround to have full posts on the front page. You compose your whole post first and before you publish it you switch to the HTML (Text) editor, copy all the code, paste it into the Excerpt box below the posts editor, and publish the post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/#creating-excerpts
If you do not see an excerpt box then go to screen options on the top right hand corner of your Admin page and include all the modules:
Post – Likes and Shares, Format, Categories, Tags, Excerpt, Send Trackbacks, Discussion, Comments, Slug, Author, Revisions, Writing HelperP.S. On themes that do have an active excerpt function, the workaround works very well but you have to do it on every post you create.

Apologies, in advance, to Staff and or Volunteers who help with CSS editing if in fact what I posted is not the solution the blogger is looking for.
-
Full posts vs excerpts is determined by code we cannot access; it’s not a CSS issue.
Timethief’s suggestion doesn’t work with objects inserted via a shortcode (videos, polls, audio players etc).
So, in short, if you want full posts you need a different theme. -
Well thank you for the help! It’s hard to try and figure our which themes offer full posts, and I would hate to buy one only to figure out I didn’t like it.

These themes provide automatic excerpts on the front page so you can cull them out of your selection https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/theme-with-automatic-excerpts?replies=17
