How to change font of menu under header
-
How do I change the font of my menu? Is this where:
#nav {
float:none;
font-size:1.5em;
text-transform:capitalize;
font-weight:bold;
text-align:center;
font-family:veranda, "Trebuchet MS", "Lucida Grande", "Lucida Sans", Arial, sans-serif;
margin:15px 0 10px;
}No matter what font is listed there it stays the same font as the body post.

That’s happening because you have customized the body text setting on your Appearance → Custom Design → Fonts page and that setting is more specific. You can override it by adding !important to the end of the rule like this:
#nav { font-family:veranda, "Trebuchet MS", "Lucida Grande", "Lucida Sans", Arial, sans-serif !important; } -
hmm….I did that and it didn’t work.
#nav {
float:none;
font-size:1.5em;
text-transform:capitalize;
font-weight:bold;
text-align:center;
font-family:veranda, "Trebuchet MS", "Lucida Grande", "Lucida Sans", Arial, sans-serif,!important;
margin:15px 0 10px;
} -
I checked http://collegehillrenovation.com/ and it looks like it’s working now.
Note that there shouldn’t be a comma before !important. Looks like you already figured that out.

It’s not working. That is still the same font as the template just in bold. I can’t get it to work. Is there something else?

my mistake. I had to delete my cookies and then it showed up. Sorry. You have been very helpful

In your custom CSS right now, you have this:
#nav { float:none; font-size:1.5em; text-transform:capitalize!important; font-weight:normal; text-align:center; font-family:castellar, "Trebuchet MS", "Lucida Grande", "Lucida Sans", Arial, sans-serif!important; margin:15px 0 10px; }That is working.
Looks like you copy and pasted the font family list from somewhere? Did you mean to list castellar first?
