How to change font size on twenty eleven.com template

    I am a mac user.

    I have been researching the above question for our parish web site

    <http://www.sacredheartteddington.wordpress.org&gt;.
    (It seems incredible that something so simple as a font size change can’t be
    done easily in this theme, still, thats the situation I’m working with.)

    In several answers on forums I notice that you write the advice, quote:

    “Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress 3.2 theme and having access to an *unedited* version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues.

    Create a child theme for your customisations

    As a reasonably intelligent beginner at
    this (mine is a wordpress site of 60 pages, so not a total beginner but
    no understanding of css, and no access to it , nor any plug in as I can see , either on the theme I have with wordpress.com ), I am completely foxed by this explanation of how to create a child
    theme i.e: this below

    * /Create a directory in your themes directory to hold the child theme. The themes directory is wp-content/themes. You can name the directory whatever you want, but it is common practice to use the name of the parent theme folder with “-child” appended to it. So, for instance, if you are making a child of the twentytwelve theme, your folder name would be twentytwelve-child./

    Please, What does any and all of this mean?

    To a mac user, can you explain how on earth I :

    a) find the themes directory – where for instance do i find wpcontent-themes?
    b) create a child theme directory and
    c) create a file called style.css

    Are the wordpress instruction people for real?
    Please help

    This site http://sacredheartteddington.wordpress.com/ is wearing the version of the Twenty Eleven theme adapted to run on free hosted blogs on this WordPress.com blogging platform. The theme description that applies to it is found here http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/twentyeleven/

    The theme information that applies to your theme on your free hosted WordPress.com blogs is not found in the WordPress>ORG codex. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate.

    There is not a free and easy way to chnage fonts throughout a free hosted WordPress.COM blog wearing any theme. These are 3 ways to change fonts on WordPress.com blogs.
    (1) Changing font families, colors and size in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page by coding into the HTML editor.
