how to change front page in zuki theme

Hello,
I have just switched to the Zuki theme and have set up everything as directed in the demo. I thought that once I have created a new blog post it will be displayed as the first post to show up in the area that was selected as front page. Right now an old post from last year shows up. Is there any way to select which post is shown in this area? Preferably my latest post. Thank you

Are you referring to the large slider on your homepage shown here?
If so, in order to get a post to appear there, you will need to add the tag “Food.” You can find this tag specified under Appearance -> Customize -> Featured Content (you can change the tag if you want). Can you try adding the tag to one of your newer posts and see if it shows up in the slider?

Thanks for responding. My newer posts with the tag food do not show up in the slider. I’m not sure why. I have just made a large center post to feature my newest blog post as a solution until I can figure it out. Thanks again for your help.

It doesn’t look like any of your recent posts have the “Food” tag. Some do have the “Food” category, but that’s a bit different. Could you try adding the “Food” tag instead? More clarification on categories and tags can be found here:
Alternatively, could you point me to a recent post that has the “Food” tag that isn’t appearing in the slider?
