How to change Garland’s Header

I’, using a Garland’s template for my Blog, and i want to edit the CSS and want to change the header…..
where i must change the code if i want to put some picture/ background in the top header ? and resize it..The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If this is the blog you are talking about, http://starjunior.wordpress.com/ , then Garland, being a flexible width theme, does not work well with headers that are not solid colors. This is because the header has to stretch and contract with the theme when the browser window is resized, and if an image is placed there, it either has to be set as a static width (in which case when a browser window is wider than the image, there will be blank space). If the image is set to stretch with the browser window, then it is going to become distorted horizontally when the browser window is widened or narrowed. Widen and narrow your browser window to see how the flexible width works. This is the reason that none of the flexible width themes have customizable headers.
