How to change hosting provider in my WordPress?
-
Hi, I have a blog on WordPress.com and I am currently using a hosting in hawkhost.com. However, when I log-in in the cpanel I found out my I.T. is using my hosting account with another client which I find it unethical. It is not fair to use two clients in the hosting I paid.
Therefore, I decided to change my hosting provider to Godaddy since my domain is from Godaddy. Now, I’d like to ask if I can possibly use Godaddy hosting in my current blog in WP without losing all my files such as articles, and other content.
Kindly pls advise because I am so clueless and frustrated. I will just run my own blog, this way I will have the full control.
Thanks!

Hello, I just wanted to clarify your concern because you said that you have a blog on WordPres.com and you’re currently hosting it in hawkhost.com. WordPress.com blogs/sites are hosted at WordPress.com and not anywhere else. Do you mean your blog is self-hosted using the WordPress.ORG software?
This may be confusing sometimes so here’s the support page on how WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG differs http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/.
If your blog is self-hosted then we are only able to help with blogs/sites that are hosted here at WordPress.com.
You can get help for self-hosted WordPress blogs at the WordPress.org forums here:
https://wordpress.org/support/You’ll need a WordPress.org account to post to the forums. If you don’t have one yet, please register here:
