How to change layout on main page to include 2 things please
-
Hi Guys
I was wondering how I could get a ‘leave a comment’ and ‘rate this post’ type option under each post on my main page…..and how I could get a summary of each post when viewed on the main page rather than the full article.
I am so stuck someone please help :)

Comments on all pages and posts on every WordPress blog are enabled by default. This page > Settings > Discussion
Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/We can also override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any individual post or page.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/Note: By default, new blogs on WordPress.com will have the Discussion hidden. You can reveal it by clicking on Screen Options http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ on the top right corner of your Admin page, and checking the box that says Discussion so the module is included. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules

To get just a snippet on the main page, use the More tag, the one that looks like a dotted line across the page. Put the cursor where you want the break and click the button.

And comments will never show on the main page of the blog. They only show on the individual post pages. That’s because if you get a lively comment thread, nobody’s going to scroll past it.
