how to change layout on menus
-
Basically I have 1 menu and a few categories so that whenever I publish a blog post they go directly to the category I want: photography, beauty, thoughts, etc. Right now, when you click on the category title it shows you the posts in chronological order and you have to scroll down the page to see older posts.
I was wondering if there was a way to put all the posts into boxes when I clicked on a category that way one doesn’t have to scroll so much to find old posts. an example of what Im thinking is here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/140139655@N05/28395747004/in/dateposted-public/
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Displaying links to archived posts in a gallery style format (e.g. grid or tile rows) in a category page, as in the example page, http://www.kaetlynanne.com/search/label/photography, is a great idea. However, I don’t believe that it’s presently possible on a WordPress.com site, unless you can figure out how to do it with CSS customization.
You can substitute a page containing display posts shortcode for an automatically generated category page, but presently the customizing arguments available in the Display Posts Shortcode support page don’t include an option that would produce a gallery style presentation of the links.

The closest option for display posts shortcode would be to include thumbnail images in the vertical list of posts. Where and how the thumbnails display might depend upon the theme applied, but I believe they ordinarily display at the beginning of a post.
