How to change name on blog post notification emails
-
Every time I put out a new post on my site, the email notifications are sent out in the name of “WordPress”. So, recepients see “WordPress” and not my name.
So in the recipients’ inbox it looks like this:
> From: WordPress <(email visible only to moderators and staff)>
Seeing I am on WordPress.com I can’t use those plug-ins I have seen for WordPress.org.
In my admin profile (the only one used) I have all the correct names.
How can I change this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The email should have your Tag Line in the From section – my new Post emails have the following in addition to the donotreply.. stuff:
Boating Safety Tips, Tricks & Thoughts from Captnmike
Have you fixed your Tag Line or do you still have “Just another WordPress.com blog” as the default?? You don’t have a link to your site so we can’t look at your site.

~~TT – hope the dentist was forward progress – not my favorite either
I was thinking about the logistics of having access to 31,000,000 mail servers if everyone wanted some sort of custom email thing (logistics nightmare) – then I thought about how the email is identified when I get a new Post email – the WordPress.com part is hidden behind the Tag Line. So I thought I would pitch in a bit before either researching my next articles or house cleaning –
Good luck with the dentist.
