How do I change my nameservers to point to my new self-hosted site?

  How can I change the names server on my domian? i bought my domain name from wordpress and am trying to install a new blog onto wordpress.org

  We have some great instructions on changing your nameservers at http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#update-name-servers/ .

  You can access your domain manager to change your nameservers at
  http://palmbeachparties.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains/. The domain manager is located at the bottom of the page.

  Thank you for your reply, but I am still so super lost!

  I bought a new blogger from studio press (which would be cute if I knew how to upload the information). I was told that I need wordpress.org installed and that I should have it hosted which I did, but now I am kinda at a dead end. I orginally bought my domain name from WordPress.com. I tried to contact bluehost and they told me that I need to change my domain server name to theirs. But that’s the tricky part…how? And will this magically let me install wordpress.org?

  Obviously I’m not too pc savy!

  Oh…and I keep trying to access my domain manager and it keeps telling me that my login failed? It’s the same password for everything!

  Would a guided transfer work for this? That may be the better way to go!

  We’d definitely take care of everything for you if you wanted to try a Guided Transfer. You wouldn’t need to raise a finger, except to tell us what to do of course. :)

  Your domain manager login details are in the email sent to you after you purchased the domain.

  Ok I changed my server name (YAY) but when I tried to install The Modern Blogger that I bought from Studio Press may site is now gone! I tried to chage it to any theme and this is what I still keep getting. Now what? :(

  Unfortunately, due to the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, we really can only support WordPress.com here, but support for WordPress.org is offered through http://wordpress.org/support/

  In this case, I recommend contacting the theme vendor.
