How to change nameservers a second time

  Back in 2021 I switched my hosting site from WordPress.org and changed the nameservers to that new hosting site. However, now that hosting site is shutting down. When I go to my domain name on wordpress.com and try to view settings or change DNS, I get a message saying “Domains are not available for this site”. It does let me “Edit my contact info” if I wanted to. It still says the domain won’t expire until Jan 2025. There is no “change nameservers” option (like I’ve seen in some tutorials). I have a new hosting site but I’m now not sure how to change the nameservers. At this point I’m open to transferring the domain too but I can’t figure out how to unlock the domain either and get an authorization code. Please help.
