How to change nav menu and submenus' background color?
-
Hi guys,
I’ve been fighting with the CSS code on my site for a while now. For the life of me I just can’t get the rest of the background in my sub menus to be white.
The site I’m working on is this: https://betterand.co/
Ideally, I’d like the black to be removed from the menu and drop down menus.
Can anyone help? My coding skills are admittedly not the best but I can at least understand code and alter copy and paste code.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Hello there,
It looks like the site is on the business plan, so you should be able to reach out for real time assistance here: https://wordpress.com/help/contact
I’ve been fighting with the CSS code on my site for a while now. For the life of me I just can’t get the rest of the background in my sub menus to be white.
It looks like the CSS you require is:
/* Change sub-menu colours AL */ @media only screen and (min-width: 1000px) { .nav--main ul { background: #171617; position: absolute; } .nav--main ul a { color: #ff7a5b; } }This can be added via Appearance > Customize > CSS.
I hope this helps!

Ah! I had to tweak part of that to get the whole background to show up white but it’s working!! Thanks so much!
