How to change navigation background colour in free Martin theme

  Hi everyone
  I am new to using wordpress and working with code and I am trying to change the top navigation (green part) of the free Martin theme.
  I’m just wondering if someone is able to help me out. I want to change it to either blue or purple to fit in with my colour scheme and so far I am completely lost as so how I do it. I have found the part of the code that I think I need to change but am unsure of how to do this.
