how to change order of link categories in the sidebar

If you need to show your categories in a certain order, you can create a Custom Menu then add a Custom Menu Widget instead. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/categories-widget/#category-order

Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes. Then every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located. -

When I create a custom menu, I read that “your theme supports 1 menu”. does that mean that, after customizing the menu, my blog will show only the customized view, and won’t show the original view anymore? Thanks -
Hi again. I was actually wondering if there was a way to change the order of the categories of links (blogroll and other web links), not that of the category widget.

Appearance > Widgets: add as many Links widgets for as many link categories, select desired link category for each one (from the first pulldown), save.
