How to change ownership

  I am currently the only alternate admin of a site and the account owner is deceased. I want to ensure I receive all official WordPress updates, email, invoices, etc. How do I remove the deceased owner and add myself in this role?

  Hi there,

  We’ll be able to transfer ownership of the WordPress.com account to you if you could please email/mail us the following:

  * A copy of the deceased user’s death certificate.

  * A power of attorney or legal document stating your authority to act on behalf of the deceased, or a signed, notarized statement including:

  – Your first and last name
  – Your current contact information
  – Your email address
  – Your relationship to the deceased user
  – The action you’re requesting (e.g., “Please transfer ownership of the account.”)
