how to change ‘poll author’ name that viewers can see?

    Here is my ?

    I have posted my first polls on my blog, and noticed that when I click on ‘view/see comments’ it has my logo/avatar on the top right side, and above the logo/avatar it says ‘poll author’. When I click on ‘poll author’ it reveals my username from wordpress when i originally signed up. I had no idea that when I signed up on wordpress for polls, that this user name would be transfered over to polldaddy and then appear to the public. I realized that wordpress does not allow a change of user names. Is there anything that can be done? I would certainly prefer that ‘poll author’ revealed my actual name (Karyn Eisler), or the name of my blog (Living ?s), or nothing at all. My user name is something I want to keep private. Help!

    You cannot change your username but you can change who you appear as. Under your wordpress profile change your nickname.

    Or you can change the url you appear on at polldaddy here: http://polldaddy.com/account/public-profile.php

    It normally changes immediately, but your name here in the forums remains the same, for purposes of identity and decreasing drama.

    Remember once you’ve put the nickname in and saved that, you need to go back and select it from teh drop-down menu and save again.
