How to change tag or category name without effecting each other?
-
I am having problem with duplicate title tags in google webmaster tools. It says /category/humanity/ and /tag/humanity/ are similar title tags. And after trying to change my tag name to humanity love i.e. /tag/humanity-love/ my category with humanity name also changes to humanity love name. I have tried to resolve this issue before but could not resolve it. Can anyone tell me how come both(tag and category) get associated and change together and solution to the issue.
And one thing more google has discovered my blog with /?pages-list /page/2/?pages-list /page/3/?pages-list which is of coarse unwanted and acceptable. How come I fix these pages to come up with not found pages as I cannot even add page removal request for these pages for they are not blocked.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Re your first question, you can’t delete or edit the one of the “duplicates” without affecting the other, because there is no “other” actually. Categories and tags are exactly the same thing (for search engines and global wp pages they’re both tags). That’s why there’s no point using the same word or phrase as both a tag and a category, and that’s why you run into technical problems if you do. You’ll have to delete all “duplicates” and create them again as either a tag or a category.
