    I was wondering how to change the sidebar widget, Text 1 into my text?

    and is the ftp service of wordpress.com is only for those blog which is hosted outside of wordpress and for premium users? is there a way to implement a ftp inside my blog which is hosted in wordpress.com itself? thanks

    ftp is not supported on wordpress.com. if you want to use ftp, you should host your own blog.

    there are instructions on text widgets, and all other widgets in the faq.

    When you look at the widgets lined up at Dashboard -> Presentation -> Sidebar widgets, the ones that are editable will have a little white box with a couple of lines within teh actual widget. Click on that little white box.

    Hope that helps,

    Yes. Are you having some sort of issue or can you explain if you’re having a problem.

    I find the html I can use in the Text Widjits to be slightly different than the html I can use in each theme…

    This will give you a line (just take out the x, and “50” is the length in pixels)
    <xhr width=”50″ align=”center” />
    <xbr> is a soft return or break, which (style-wise) is more pleasing than a hard return or <xp>.

    you can use all of the minor stuff, like bold/center/italics/font color/font type/photo links …of course you have to make sure you use the American spellings (color, gray, center). Each text widjit can have as many photos or text as you want, just make sure the photo fits. Each theme has different sized sidebars… the size which fits the one I’m using is 225px. Some themes get pretty small…
