How to change the background color for comment input field

  I am using the Assembler theme for my site and am trying to change the background and text color of the comment input field. I tried customizing the comment block through ‘additional CSS’ in Styles

  {background-color: #0D0D0D;}

  but only the header before the input field for the comment changes. How can I change the background of the input window?
