Hi Shiva,
I’m that you are using the Hemingway rewritten theme, If you are referring to change the background color of black block in this image –
https://cloudup.com/cRVZJUQ9z3hYou can see a customize icon on the lower right corner of your blog or you can try this link to go to your customization page – https://shivashaktiselftodivineself.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php?theme=pub%2Fhemingway-rewritten
On the left side you can see the CSS Tab and after clicking it, you will have the option to add a custom css, for example if you want the background to be green (#008000) using CSS colors, you can put in:
.site-branding {
background: #008000;
}To learn more about custom CSS, see – https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/
To learn more about hex colors, see – https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/custom-colors/#color-picker
To learn more about customizing your blog – https://en.support.wordpress.com/customize/
Let me know how did it go ok?

Many thanks for the quick reply.
Arriving at the customizing page,
unfort I couldnt see any CSS Tab.Where is it exactly? I have a “free plan”,
perhaps i dont have this facility? -
the only menu i see on the left side is:
custom design ->
site identity -.
colors and background ->
fonts ->
header image ->
menus ->
content options ->
widges ->
static front page -> -
Hi,
Sorry I was not able to check your tier and you were in the free plan.
You’ll need the WordPress.com Premium or WordPress.com Business plan upgrade to edit and apply your CSS changes and have more control on how your pages will look like.

Ok! I got it.
I will consider the upgrade.
Thanks for you detailed help. I might use it later on.
Blessings. -
