How do I change the content of subscription confirmation email which goes to a new subscriber upon his registering his email address on my blog to follow new posts on my blog in his email box

You cannot edit the content in the email of your posts which is drawn from your RSS Feed for posts.

I don’t wish to edit the email of my posts.
I wish to edit the email which is sent to the subscriber for the first time when he registers on my blog for receiving post updates by email. Once again to clarify further, I am referring to the first email which is sent to subscriber asking him to activate his subscription by pressing on “Confirm” button.

I found the solution myself. The text can be changed in
Settings > Reading Settings > Follower Setting > Blog Follow Email Text

It is possible to change the text of the email notification that goes first time to somebody who registers his/her email address on your blog to follow the blog posts in his email box.
The text which should be part of the email notification can be changed in your blogs settings under Reading Settings. Look for Follower Setting. You will find Blog Follow Email Text box where you can modify the text.
