How to change the font colour on the page buttons?
-
Hi.
I was asked to change the font colour on the page buttons the ones that say home, about etc…
The theme is digg 3 collumn.
Thanks in advance. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have to recreate the two images that make up the tab.

It’s not working. What happens is there is the left side of the tab and the font color is in green not yellow.
-
@dozy, I just added the code above to my test blog and the text color changed to a red.
See here: http://flippintestblog.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/digg-tabs.png

@thesacredpath Oh it’s okay it works now :D Thanks a lot. I don’t suppose you know how to have an image behind a post?
-
This should do it.
.post, .page.hentry { background: url("URL_of_image") no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent; margin-bottom: 20px; } -
Hello, I’m having the exact same problem with my blog. The theme is Vigilance and I’ve tried to change the color of the links to the different pages (about, home, the author) but I can’t figure it out! I tried to above code, but it didn’t work! Thanks!

@lilyschlosser
Have you purchased the annually renewable CSS editing upgrade or not?
http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/ -
Yes I have! I’m still trying to learn how to do it all. My site is http://myperfectt.wordpress.com.
Right now, I want the color of the navigation tabs to be the same color as the links! Thank you.

The “normal” (not active, not hover) state color is set here.
#nav li a { color: #333333; }The hover and active colors are set here:
#nav ul li a:hover, #nav ul li:hover > a, #nav ul li.current_page_item > a, #nav ul li.current_page_parent > a, #nav ul li.current_page_ancestor > a, #nav ul li.current-cat > a, #nav ul li.current-menu-ancestor > a, #nav ul li.current-menu-item > a, #nav ul li.current-menu-parent a { color: #772124; } -

Oh! I do not have the upgrade! I don’t know what I’m doing! It worked! Thank you so much! Now, I have one more question. How do I remove the dark red line that appears above the navigation tabs? And how do I change the color of the titles of all the posts?
-
Hmmm, my bad, I thought you had the upgrade.
All the stuff you want to do requires CSS editing experience and the paid CSS upgrade.
-
Did you mean to say you HAVE the upgrade? I definitely see custom CSS on your theme.
Add this to the code I gave you for the hover and active color change
border-top:none;This will change the color of the post and page titles.
.post-header h1, .post-header h2, .post-header h1 a:link, .post-header h1 a:visited, .post-header h2 a:link, .post-header h2 a:visited { color: #444444; } -
BAH. I thought you said I didn’t have the upgrade…reading too fast sorry! You are a GENIUS! Thank you for the help!

That is the $1billion question. Posts typically are all different lengths so all you can do is to make an image and then do a repeat-y and have it repeat on longer posts.
The image should be the same width as that specified in .content which is 500px. Height? Your choice.
