How to change the main WP-admin username and password?

  I took over a wordpress designed website and the problem I’m having is to get into the wp-admin it’s still on the previous owner details and unfortunately due to circumstances I have no access on his logins. How do I reset the username on the WP without losing the whole design?? Because I can not login at all

  Hi that is the main issue the person that hosted the site is unfortunately deceased and I have no one who can help me to get the WP-admin logins for this site. Please have a look if you can http://www.smoofmove.co.za

  Update: It looks like when WP updated the whole is gone!!! Everything *crying

  Thanks for clarifying. The site smoofmove.co.za appears to be a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted on Cybersmart Hosting, and not a site on WordPress.com.

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities, but the essential difference is that we don’t have access to all WordPress sites, only the ones hosted on our WordPress.com servers. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ for more info.

  However, if you have access to the server control panel through the host for your site, it is always possible to regain access to a self-hosted WordPress site. This WordPress.org Codex article will walk you through it: http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
