How to change the menus and have blog posts displayed in front page
-
Hi,
I am new to wordpress and using the free account. Currently my menu has 4 tabs: Home, About, Contact and Blog. I want just 2 tabs: Home and About. I want Home to contain preview of recent 5 or 10 blog posts.
I tried customizing the site but I was not successful. Can anyone please help me out.
Thanks a lot.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can make these changes in My Site > Customize :)
In the Menus section, you can add or remove items from your menu. Right now, your site is displaying a default menu – you can use a custom menu instead (currently you have three saved: Primary, Menu 2, and Social Media.
Edit the menu you’d like by selecting it (I’d go with Primary.
Check the box for Primary Menu under Menu Locations to assign your custom menu to that spot on the site (this is the top menu).
Use the Add items button to add the pages and other items you’d like displayed in your menu.
To display your blog posts on your home page, you can use the settings under My Site > Customize > Static Front Page.
Set this option to Your latest posts :)
Don’t forget to Save & Publish when you’re done!

Thanks a lot :)
But I noticed that entire post is displayed in the Home page. Can you please let me know if it is possible to display only a preview of the post with the featured image?

It looks like you’ve switched to Intergalactic, which automatically shows excerpts :)
On themes that display the full posts, you can sometimes (depending on the theme) look under My Site > Customize > Content Options to change how posts are displayed.
If that option isn’t present, you can use a More Tag in each post!
