How to change the page color in in Pique?

    I have a static front page, and the theme background color is set to black, however under the logo, the menu and the static front page content the color is set to a dark teal. I have searched through all the available options and cannot find how to change this color. I do not have the premium package so can’t use css.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there!

    I’m not seeing any teal background when I look at your site right now. Are you still having this issue? If so, let me know and I’ll take a look! :)

    Yes, I am still having the issue. I discovered Choose a Palette option, which allowed em to change the color behind the logo/menu/page to a more tolerable gray color, but I would prefer to make it black. There is no obvious way to select a specific color.

    Oh, I see what you mean. On a free site, the color customizations are limited to what you see available in Customize > Colors & Backgrounds, with the background color and palette options.

    To customize colors beyond that, you could target areas with custom CSS, however that requires the Premium upgrade so you have Custom Design added to your site.

    If you decide to add Premium at some point, you could go into Customize > CSS and add the following code to the make the background color in the Hero panel black:

    #pique-hero {
    	background-color: #000;
    }

    For now you can preview the change by going to Customize > Custom Design, then clicking Try Now. Go to the CSS section and paste in the code to preview it on your site.

    Let me know if you have any questions! :)
