How to change the style of menu? like width, font…

you can see my blog’s menu is very ugly, can anyone help me to improve it? At least I would like to change the width and font size/color.
Is it possible?

I am not familiar with that particular theme, but I doubt you can individually change the width, color, or font style in the sidebar. Some themes do allow you to customize the background, including the background color.
I presume that you chose this theme because you anticipate using a lot of images in your posts, and you want the area for the posts to be maximized in order to provide a (relatively) large image, so the trade off on having your primary column be wide is that your sidebar is going to be narrow.
Your blog will also look better once it has some content, then the sidebar won’t be so prominent. You can also add and remove widgets or try them in a different order — although it’s good to have the search widget near the top as you do.
I also suggest, since you’re just starting up, getting a second blog just for testing purposes, and you can try out different themes before you apply it to your main, active blog. I have one I use, and I just have it marked private so it isn’t seen publicly and I can mess about with it to my heart’s content.
You can also use Typekit fonts to selectively change some of the fonts on your blog, but I only have experience using Typekit in the themes that are set up to take it “automatically” by specifying the theme in Typekit’s interface. There are a limited number of themes that you don’t have to do some extra fiddling with, though I doubt that it’s difficult. I just haven’t done it and can’t advise how to do it with that theme.

Also: You can make such changes when you get the CSS upgrade, but that requires knowing some CSS and doing the work yourself. The CSS upgrade does not have official wp staff support, so if you’re daunted by the task of tackling it on your own, I suggest just playing with a few themes until you find one that meets your needs as best as possible in the format offered standard.
