How to change timezone

  Hi, I live in a different time zone to the default, and so my posts appear 1 day in the past when published.

  How do I change the time zone??

  There is no time zone box under general settings that I can see, and no way to change the current city in the settings (after following the instructions on this site), and it is driving me nuts!

  Can anyone help? Has an updated version of wordpress done away with the option?

  To confirm your timezone is correct know the default timezone is UTC time. You can reset your timezone here > Settings > General. Select the closest city to you in the same timezone in the drop-down menu you see there and then click “save changes”.

  Go to http://lightlyspicedblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php and scroll down to “Timezone”.

  if you are not successful when it comes to locating the “timezone” setting then please provide:

  (a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
  (b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://supportdetails.com/
  (c) Exactly what you experience including exactly what any error reports you receive state.

  Thank you Timethief! I had no idea how to access the ‘dashboard’, I was looking at the ‘mysite’ tab, which only gives you selected settings.

  Can you tell me, is there any way to access the dashboard without physically typing in /wp-admin? Is there a button to press that I am missing?

  Oh and one more thing: so when I make a post now, do I have to select to publish at the ‘scheduled time’ to get the correct time stamp? So if I am UTC+12, will it post 12 hours after I select to post it?
