How to change URL

    Ok, this is my first time to wordpress, I have a few questions, but this one’s most important.

    I already have a domain name: butterfacing.com

    The end goal would be to make it so when someone types that in “butterfacing.com” it takes them directly to the blog page and to not have the “butterfacing.wordpress.com” url.

    I’ve spoken with GoDaddy and they’re mentioning about buying a server space from them or you and it’s kind of confusing me.

    What you want is our domain mapping upgrade – it will allow you to map your domain name so that someone can type in ‘butterfacing.com’ and will be directed to your WordPress.com blog ‘butterfacing.wordpress.com’.
