How to change widget color on Silver is the new black theme???
-
Whenever i try to change the color of the widgets on silver is the new black theme,most of my widgets just fill partially with the color that i selected.This is the code i am trying to use:
}
#menu ul li {
background-color:#696565;
}If someone could please tell me the correct code,i would greatly appreciate it.

That is because you have only changed the heading-colour. Try changing the “parent” menu selector.
Since the background you want black is grey, you should also be able to find it simply by looking at whatever selector have a grey colour in it. -
I don’t understand.Do you think if i gave you my password to my wp account,do you think you could fix it for me?I trust you.I would really appreciate that.

i really need someone to help me.I’ve asked tons of people and search css widget color help 100 times…..i just need someone to tell me the code,that’s all.

Your stylesheet is very messy and tricky to figure out.
Try to change the colour here to black. I am not sure if it will work, but try that first.#menu ul { color: #CCC; font-weight: bold; margin-left: 5px; padding: 5px 0; }And please refrain from putting comments in unrelated posts in my blog asking for code. If you do that again, I shall certainly not give you a hand in the future. I read the forum, that will have to do. I answer what I want to, in my own good time.
(delta – how could you let an opportunity slip!?)

..and you shouldn’t trust me. I’d delete your blog or change the password at a blink of an eye.

You call it letting opportunities slip, I call it not sniffing any pile along the road…
:-D

umm,sorry boblets.the code that you gave me is’nt exactly the right one.I changed the code to other colors and it only shows those colors UNDER all the widgets instead of inside of them.So do you think you could figure the correct code?thanks.
And delta,what are you talking about?sniffing any pile along the road?….that really does’nt make any sense.

Your stylesheet is an absolute mess, and you have some strange, grey things over the widgets, you see the poking out at the end.
I get a headache from that stylesheet, and here is my last bit of advice…
Grey is defined in many ways, and #ccc is just one of them.#D3D3D3, #B0B0B0 and #E0E0E0 are grey too (hence the name of “silver is the new black”). There may be more greys in your stylesheet, I haven’t gone through the whole thing.
Replace one at a time, and to be on the safe side, don’t write “black”, use the hex #000000. -

ok boblets,it worked.Thank you so much.I just have one final question,though.What is the code to change the text in the blog stats widget to a different color?Thanks Again!
