How to change your wp username
-
Howdy, Chumz.
As we all know that you that you can’t change your wordpress username, but today I’m gonna share what I got while practicing via wampserver few days ago, as at now there’s no tutorial about this on the internet.Follow my leads:-
Step 1
Login to your Hosting account > Click on PhpMyAdmin.Step 2
Click on the database you’re using to run wordpress ex- “u123456789_user”, You’ll see 11 tables scroll down you’ll see a table named “wp_users” (It the last table on the list).Step 3
Click On “wp_user”, When the page loads finish you’ll be presented with the list of all the users in your site, Navigate to
the user which you want to change his/her username click on edit.Step 4
After clicking on edit you’ll see the following; ID user_login user_pass user_nicename user_email user_url user_registered date user_activation_key user_status & display_name. Change the name in “user_login” under value column to the new name you prefer when you’re done click on go to save it.Step 5
Visit your site via sitename/wp-login.php then enter the new name you changed to in The username box and input the password you used for that particular account in the password field. With the steps above you should successful change your user login name, It works on both local host and an online host :-D.
Note – Do not tamper with anything in the user_pass field, because if a figure, alphabet or symbol is deleted it will affect your initial password I think wordpress made it a md5 password .
#Nationality – Nigerian
#Age – 16

That’s not true. You can change both your WordPress.com account username (the name you use to login) and your display name (the name that is seen on your posts and comments) by following this guide.
-
“Once you change your username you will not be able to change it
back and the old name will not be available for you or anyone to use.
If you just want to show your name differently please only change
your Display Name” – http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/Bro by using the method up above you can change your username as many times possible.
