How to check automatically deleted comments?

The statistics page informs me that Akismet automatically blocks comments it detects as spam, is there any way to turn that off, or else to view the comments it blocked/deleted? I clicked on the link that said “2 spam comments” but despite sending me to a URL that would reasonably allow me to do this, it redirected back to my normal dashboard and I can’t find anything to do with it on there.

I imagine those 2 comments aren’t viewable from my page because they have either been deleted or were never submitted, but can I do anything about that? At the moment I’d like more manual control over the submission of comments without an automated filter like this.

Some comments which are known spam with 100% certainty are not viewable. We use Akismet for spam filtering and they keep very close tabs on accuracy for the spam that is removed automatically.
