How to choose which blog posts appear on the front page
-
Hello
On my blog, I write two things: unsigned Youtube musical talent and the other is a list of music social networking sites.
I would only like the blog posts about the Youtube Talent to appear on the front page. While the list of social music sites to appear in another link called MusicNotes.
How do I go about in doing this? Currently, I am using the “page” feature to list the social music sites but I find that it’s a drawback since I can’t tag each post and therefore people can’t search for the posts that I’ve written about social music sites.
Thanks so much

unfortunately, what you’re doing is the workaround i would have suggested. WordPress.com just isn’t set up to be able to do this.

Although our wordpress.com blogs have only one dynamic page, I’d like to suggest that the other wordpress option may be the way for you to go. Hosting is inexpensive and once you hire a web host you can download fee blog software from http://wordpress.org and then hack the template so you have two dynamic pages.
Here are two threads that explain the differences between wordpress.com and wordpress.org http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/07/wordpresscom-vs-wordpressorg/

Actually, I would suggest having two different blogs and linking them in a widget at the top of your sidebar. That would function the way you want, and if you use the same theme for both, it will look like the same blog.

Thanks. It’s the simplest thing I could think of, and since I hadn’t had any coffee, that meant it would be pretty darn simple.
