how to close an account

  I would like to close my account and trash all the informations of my free word press account

  how to do it?

  login to your admin panel. go to options > delete blog.

  that doesnt close the wordpress.com account, it just deletes the blog. I still can log in, without having any blog on it!

  So the question remains valid, how does a person closes the http://www.wordpress.com account and trashes all personal data?

  You’ve got to contact support and tell them to do it. They don’t usually do it because it messes up the system. Your information is not going to be misused in any way so you might just let it be.

  Otherwise write to them at https://wordpress.com/support and wait for a reply.

  There is no way to close a wordpress.com account. Once it is created, it is there forever. Staff says it has something to do with causing database problems if they do.
