How to Close iPage hosted domain and only having WordPress.com

  Currently i use the version of wordpress available through iPage. I want to change my blog so i can use the regular wordpress.com features instead of jetpack. My posts aren’t loading. Is there a way to start from scratch with another domain directly through WordPress. I don’t want the 2 domains linked. Basically i want to discontinue the one hosted by iPage and have my blog directly with WordPress. com. Is this possible?
